Founded in 1977, the Thai Footwear Association (TFA) is the not-for-profit professional trade association which represents Thailand based suppliers of footwear - manufacturers, importers and designers - and in one form or another has supported the footwear industry for over 30 years - changing during that time to accommodate the changes in the industry.

                   Footwear is an important sector in the country with around four billion baht of footwear sold to Thai consumers and another more than ten a billion baht exported around the globe. TFA's mission is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the footwear workers through education; increase the footwear and leather export through marketing; and support all Thai footwear manufacturers and traders right to practice through government affairs activities. Today more than 250,000 people are directly employed in Thai footwear sectors. We are also home to some of the ASEAN's leading footwear brands and the most highly regarded creative designers. Premium level menswear is still produced in over 15 factories, the majority of it exported across the world. There is a constant supply of award winning designers emerging from industrial design faculty of Thai’s universities and who, often with TFA help, have gained international reputations for creativity combined with commerciality. Equally, our importers have pioneered the sourcing of product for the Thai High Street Fashion from an ever-changing number of countries, many in the Europe. The TFA is proud to represent over hundreds key members of Thai footwear industry who cover all sectors of the trade.
